Maintenance
The contents for this section are the same as they appear in the Dodge Owner's manual except as noted below.
Maintenance Schedules
The maintenance service interval recommended for engine oil and engine oil filter change is every 5,000 miles. All other system maintenance should be done as recommended and according to the Dodge Owner's Manual.
Engine Oil Selection
The selection of engine oil is critical to insure best performance, and maximum protection of all engine components requiring lubrication. Your Shelby Dakota was originally equipped with SAE 10W30 SF/CC motor oil. Refer to the Dodge Owner's Manual for appropriate SAE grade number for the expected ambient temperature range.

The recommended oil filter selection for use on your truck is Chrysler part number 3549957.
