2. For cold Climate conditions the engine oil recommended is Mobil 1 5W/30, or a petroleum product with the same grade and with an API rating of SF/CD or SF/CC.

Tires

Your Shelby CSX-T is equipped with 205/50 VR 15 Goodyear Gatorback tires. To insure they wear properly, maintain tire pressure at 32 psi, front and read, Check tire pressure frequently to insure long life.

NOTE: Alignments and wheel balancing are not covered under any Shelby Automobiles Limited Warranties, Chrysler Motors Limited Warranties or Goodyear Limited Warranties. They are the responsibility of the owner.

In Case of Emergency

Jack location, usage, and storage are illustrated on the label affixed to the spare tire cover in the trunk.

Carefully follow the prescribed precautions and instructions listed in your Dodge Owner's manual whenever your raise or lower the car.

CAUTION: Only raise your Shelby CSX-T by the jack mounts located behind the side sills. Do not use the jack on plastic body pieces, as damage will occur.

If your car is disabled and requires towing, do not use a "sling type" system. This will cause damage to the front air dam or rear skirt. Shelby Automobiles recommends that a flat bed or wheel lift equipment be used should your car require towing. Please refer to your Dodge Owner's manual for further towing instructions.


Limited Warranties

What is covered

The following parts have been modified by Shelby Automobiles, Inc., and are covered by Shelby Automobiles, Inc.'s NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Parts not listed above are covered by the following 1988 Chrysler Motors Corp. Warranties:

  • New Vehicle Limited Warranty-12 months/12,000 miles
  • Standard Chrysler 7 years/70,000 miles Powertrain Limited Warranty
  • Anti-Corrosion Perforation Limited Warranty-7 years/70,000 miles

You should refer to the Chrysler Motors Corp.'s 1988 Warranty Information Brochure for details of the parts of the vehicle for which Chrysler Motors Corp. is the warrantor.

What is not covered

Tires - They are warranted by the tire manufacturer.

Environmental Damage such as airborne fallout or pollutants, chemicals, tree-sap, salt, road hazards, hail, wind, lightning, flood, acts of God or other conditions which cannot be forseen by Shelby Automobiles, Inc.

Damage due to improper maintenance or failure to use the recommended fuel, oil or lubricants. Damage due to use of motor fuels containing methanol.

Maintenance items such as lubricants, filters, engine tune-up and replacement or worn brake or clutch linings or shock absorbers.

Incidental or consequential damages such as loss of use of the vehicle, loss of time, inconvenience, expense for gasoline, telephone, travel or lodging, loss or damage to personal property, commercial loss, loss of revenue or other matters not specifically included. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. Damage due to alterations, misuse or accidents, such as fire, abuse, negligence or objects striking the vehicle, misuse of the vehicle such as driving over curbs, overloading, racing, etc., improper disconnection, alteration (changing or adding to the vehicle), modifying the exhaust system to
